Chapter one hundred and forty five

AMELIA’s POV…

My heart shattered into a million pieces at the words. Whatever Ariana said next didn’t matter to me. I just wanted to know the truth and now, I had gotten it.

I remained hidden where I was till she finally left after twirling in the garden of joy. The same thing I had done when Alex and I first got together.

I got out of where I was hiding as I fell to my knees, tears streaming down my cheeks and as I cried, the doctor’s words rang in my head again.

“You’ll have a complicated pregnancy and if care isn’t taken, you’ll lose the child…. And probably your womb.”

I looked down at my stomach as I shook my head. “I can’t lose you, baby. I can’t.” I gasped as I got off the floor in the garden, running straight to my room as tears streamed down my cheeks.

Getting to my room, I didn’t know if it was because of the pregnancy hormones, or because I could never manage to control myself when it came to handling pain, but I burst into tears as my heart clenched even tighter in my ches
