Chapter one hundred and twenty four

AMELIA’s POV…

“Little Breeche!” The voice resonated through the cold night again but I wasn’t going to let this stop me. I had managed to sneak out of the room so that I could get to Liam and then rescue my little Lilly. I wasn’t going to throw all of that down the drain now, was I?

I clutched even tighter to the cloak as ignoring his call, I kept running. I needed to go far. I needed to get as far away as I could so that I could be saved.

I could feel my eyes welling with tears as my throats felt parched from running too hard, but I knew better than to slow down because apart from my running steps, I could hear Alex’s.

They were behind me and they weren’t that far away from me.

I threw the cloak off me as I kept running. That thing seemed to be slowing me down. I could feel my heart beat even faster as I kept running, but I didn’t stop.
