Chapter sixty seven

AMELIA’s POV….

I knew he was trying to call out to me, the awkward silence in the room proved it, but I had to ignore him. It was better I hurt myself now by ignoring him than let myself get hurt in the end like the last time.

I closed my eyes as I recalled the memories of him hitting himself in the training ground that day. Why? Just to hurt me on purpose. How even though he knew I wouldn’t be able to make it back into the pack on my own, he left me there.

That was the last thing I wanted to go through again.

I heard the water squish as it was dropped on the table in the room as he got off the stool. “Fine.” That was all he said before I saw him walk to the door.

Getting to the door, he stopped and I turned away from him, wiping my tears as I shook my head. “Be strong, Amelia.” I told myself as I dug my fingers into the sheets.
