Gabriel sat across from Scarlette with a heavy heart. He knew he had to come clean about Isabella, and he regretted keeping the truth from Scarlette. He took a deep breath and spoke. "Scarlette, I have to tell you something. Isabella is dead."

Scarlette's eyes widened with shock. "What? How?" she asked, her voice shaking.

Gabriel lowered his head. "I killed her. It was my only choice."
