Chapter 38

Scarlett’s eyes widened as she recalled their encounter with the council of species. She recalled how each and every one of them was scrutinized by the members of that council. Most of all she remembered how hard Lydia’s family member swallowed when she saw Sasha.

“Lydia’s sister, or was it your aunt? The lady from the species council?!” Scarlett said as the words came tumbling out of her mouth not making sense to her own ears. “Yes, she is old and strong enough to pull something like that off,” Lydia said with disdain.

“I too remember how pale she went for a second, I thought it was because she saw me,” Lydia said. “But Sasha was standing right behind you,” Jackson said. “Fucking bitch!” Lydia exclaimed as she slammed her closed fists on the countertop.

“That settles it. I am going to kill the whore.” Lydia said furiously that a member of her family could interfere with another person’s life in such a colossal way.
