Chapter 18 - Hannah

Presenting the speech, that I just gave Gabe, is usually uncomfortable for me.  In the past, sharing my story came after someone witnessed me do something that defies the laws of nature and science.  I often feel like I need to explain myself, like I have done something wrong.  I didn’t get that feeling with him.  He listened to me intently and held me close as I continued to power through my story. 

When I finish talking, I am sitting cross legged leaning into his chest, and he has both arms wrapped around me.  He shifts his body slightly turning his head to the side so that he can get a better look at me.  He brushes my hair behind my ear and putting his hand behind my head he pulls me in and kisses me.  “I’m glad she did.”  He says. “Me too” I smile at him. 

I bring my hands up to his face and scratch at his beard gently, it’s softer than I thought it would be.  My hands
