Asher and Ashley both turned towards the door, surprised by the sudden entrance. Standing there was Mia, her face lit up with joy as she saw Ashley.

He exchanged a glance with Ashley, realizing the weight of the situation they found themselves in.

"Mia," he said gently, his tone masking the shock. "Ashley is not your mommy."

Mia looked at Asher, her bright smile faltering as she seemed to sense the change in the atmosphere. She then turned her gaze back to Ashley, a questioning look in her eyes.

"You are my mommy? right?" Mia's innocent eyes were looking at her with so much hope in them.

No! She can't be this cruel as to hurt this innocent little girl.

"Mommy?" Her voice brought her back to reality.

She looked at her with a big smile and nodded her head. She does not what to feel about what Asher might think of her.....

A broad smile formed on her face while a wave of shock masked Asher's face.

It was just yesterday, when Ashley was so uncomfortable with the idea of
