Alex's P. O. V

" What did you say?" I repeated, my voice so low it was barely audible. She nodded, smiling wistfully to herself.

" Yeah... I want you to introduce me to your parents."

" Why should I introduce you? Even if I wanted to, as what? "

" As your fiance of course! " She said aloud and I scoffed, a wry smile forming on my face.

" Really? My fiance?"

" Yes. Isn't it amazing!" She asked, making to touch me but I jerked away from her, standing up.

" Tasha? Are you insane? How am I supposed to do that?"

" The same way you introduced me to them as your girlfriend back in high school. Come on Alex, it can't be all that hard."

" When am I supposed to do this?"

" Tomorrow." She announced.

" Tomorrow!? Wha-why?"

" The earlier the better." She muttered, smiling. My face deepening to a scowl, I muttered through gritted teeth.

" I can't do it."

She paled, her eyes widening in shock. " What do you mean you can't do it?"
