Part 3: Chapter 32

Skyler's P. O. V

Sitting in my apartment and crying my eyes out, I couldn't help but think about what will happen today. Today Patrick would be leaving to New Jersey and I did nothing to stop him. I'd probably never see him again and if I did, he wouldn't want me. How could I have let this happen?

I was about to go into another round of tears when my phone rang. I stared at it before sluggishly picking it up. A part of me wanted it to be Patrick. It wasn't him. It was Evelyn, a friend of mine who had introduced me to Mr Kentucky. I dried off my tears, sitting up. Taking in deep breath, I picked up the call.

" Hey..." I called out, my voice hoarse.

" Hi.... Are you okay? You sound weird."

" Yeah, I'm fine. Just a little sick."

" Oh, okay."

" Why'd you call?" I asked, clearing my throat.

" Uhmm, since you're not longer working with Mr Jamison, I thought maybe you'd like to come with me to Singapore, we could find a job there. " She announced.
