Chae Joon: Chapter 50 begins.

Se Jong:........... *Sigh.

            ********👻****👻*****

Outside the house on the stairs to the front door, Hae Jin sat with Tae Jin.

He couldn't stop smiling. For the first in 18years, he was out, enjoying fresh air.

Out, seeing a small portion of the outside world.

This..... This was too good to be true!

Was he imagining things?

"You're not delusional" Tae Jin said like he can read his mind. Looking at him, he met a smile on his (Tae Jin) face.

A smile that was creating thing within him.

What was it?

*Sigh, Tae Jin sighed in relief, "I'm so glad it worked out today. I thought it will take us a month or so. I'm so relief"

He really was. Hae Jin could see it from his face.

Hae Jin smiled at him.

Tae Jin must have been really worried about this not working.

He was glad it worked out as well.

*Sigh, Hae Jin sighed, smiling as he looked at the blue sky, mesmerizing the clouds as well.

Suddenly, a question poped in mind.

Wait,......

"How did you know it will work?" He asked, curious. Tae Jin looked and sounded so confident that it will work.

How come? Did he know something he didn't?

"I don't think you want to know"

He will not tell him. Not yet. He will leave it to Hae Jin to figure it out himself.

Well, if he wasn't going to answer, he'll just change the subject instead.

Cause knowing Tae Jin, if he doesn't want to share something, nothing will change his mind or make him share.

"By the way, did your friends follow you to the state as well?"

"No, it was just Shin Hye. Even though Shin Hye's parents were willing to help them leave with us, Se Jong didn't want go for some reason and so, Hyun Seo decided to stay with him. We still got in touch though. Sometimes they'll call and sometimes I will call"

Ah, he got it now.

"Se Jong didn't want to leave because of his family right?"

"No, Se Jong has no family. Well, that's what I think because he has never talked about his relatives before. I only know his parents, his only family (He told him before)..... died in a car accident. He was 4 back then "

"That's so sad" He had no words.

What Se Jong went through when he lost his parents........and he was only four...........

Gosh, he felt so sorry for him.

"Yeah, he was in the car as well but he survived. With no injuries. Everyone thought it was a miracle back then. Even I thought so"

Well, it really was a miracle. To survive a car accident with no injuries while two people died in the same accident,......if it wasn't a miracle, what was it then?

"After that, his mother's friend took him in since she was not married and had no children. She loved him as well, she said. But then, he left her house when he was about to enter high school "

He still didn't know why Se Jong left the woman's house to rent a new place. Close to his (Tae Jin) mother's house.

Maybe he should ask him later.

"The woman who took him in is a very good woman. I guess there's still good people in this world" Hae Jin said, bringing Tae Jin out of his thoughts.

"Yeah, I guess" he replied back.

"So, he takes care of himself now?"

"Yes, he got a job at a bar. That's where I also wanted to work but, Shin Hye already........" Tae Jin stopped himself before he could finish his words.

Oh shit, he hasn't said anything about it to his hyung.

"How about you becoming the assistant of a hunter of evil ghosts and earn money?" This offer slip out without him realizing.

"What?"

Exactly, what the heck was he talking about? Why did he make this job offer? How can Tae Jin earn money by working for him?

He was poor as fuck! How was he going to pay him?

Again, why did he offer this?!

...............

Right, it was because Shin Hye already offered a job toTae Jin which will earn him money and that's why he did that.

He didn't want to lose Tae Jin.

Wait, where did this thought come from?!

Actually, while they were cleaning up yesterday, Shin Hye offered a job to Tae Jin which Hae Jin overheard (However, Tae Jin has no clue he already knows about it. This is the reason why he stopped himself before he could let out the news)

This was the reason why he had that angry look on his face even though he had forgiven Tae Jin for speaking rudely to him.

The job offer seemed simple, harmless, unlike Hae Jin's offer. Shin Hye offered to get a job at her mother's bookstore for him, but Tae Jin.....he didn't think he can accept the offer.

He just didn't want to be indebted to Shin Hye's family anymore than he already was.

"I can earn money by becoming your assistant?" He asked, interested.

"You know what, forget I just said that. I can't pay you"

"No, is a good idea. We can search for people who are in help. People who are battling with supernatural stuffs. They pay us and we fix their problems"

Well, that sounded look. But then,.........

"Are you okay with that?" Right, he forgot. He can't go back to that side again. The side where humans treats people like him like a plague or something.

"You're right. I'll just take Shin Hye's offer"

"Yes, you should" Sounded good. Tae Jin won't get hurt taking this job.

So then,........why did it hurt so much? (When Tae Jin decided to take Shin Hye's job offer instead of his)

In any case, he was still curious about something.

Related to this very Shin Hye. Who seems to be the reason for his every bad mood since her arrival.

*Sigh, he should just ask and get this over with.

"By the way, why did Shin Hye's family agree to let her leave with you?" This was the question he wanted to ask. And he was so eager to know the answer as well.

"I only know, the same time my par....mother decided to send me abroad, Shin Hye had also decided to stay with her grandma abroad" Tae Jin took a deep breath and Hae Jin waited patiently for him to continue.

Took two seconds or so, before Tae Jin continued,

"I was supposed to live in a boarding school. But when Shin Hye's parents found out, they decided I live with Shin Hye and her grandma. I don't know why Shin Hye's parents agreed for her to live with her grandma but I know, Shin Hye only went with me because we were both heading to the same destination. The same path, to start a new life and we both needed someone familiar to be around with while getting used to life there"

Okay, so was this the reason why Tae Jin felt indebted to Shin Hye's parents? Because they gave him a new place to live and someone familiar to be around with while getting used to life there?

"I never liked the idea of living in a broading house" But he couldn't voice out when his mother told him this.

Yes, Tae Jin's mother was the one who broke the news (Of him going to live abroad) to him.

And she was the one who decided this as well.

"and am glad I never got to live in one. I'm glad Shin Hye came with me as well" Tae Jin said with a smile when he exited his thoughts.

He was right, wasn't he? Tae Jin felt indebted to Shin Hye's parents because they gave him a place to stay and also because they gave him someone familiar to be around with.

But, he still can't help but feel like there's more.

"My mom agreed as well" He excluded his father because he found out he (His father) didn't know about the plans his mother made for him to go stay abroad.

"So, they're good friends?" They had to be for Shin Hye's parents to agree, decide, he stay with Shin Hye in their house with her grandma abroad.

"Yeah" Tae Jin confirmed and continued,

"My mom said they (Shin Hye's parents and his parents) used to be in the same class, studying the same course. Back in school (College), they weren't that close.  And for some reason I don't know, after they graduated, Shin Hye's parents approached my parents, offering them a job at their hospital"

"So, then..." The words slipped out without him realizing because he was lost in though land once again.

Was this also another reason why Tae Jin felt indebted to Shin Hye's parents?

Because Shin Hye's parents offered his parents job right after completing school which earn them good money as well.

Well, he hasn't seen the hospital yet but he guess is huge and it earns a lot of money as well. Shin Hye's family were super rich after all.

(He overheard Hyun Seo say to Se Jong while they were cleaning up.

That time, Hyun Seo wondered why a rich girl like Shin Hye would decide to live in this dirty, haunted looking house which needed a lot of cleaning when she can live anywhere she wanted.

And this was Se Jong's answer,

"She's in love. Now get back to work you lazybones. You're not skipping this clean up")

Back to Hae Jin's thoughts,

In any case, they really have done a lot for his family, he won't be surprise of this was another reason (Why Tae Jin felt indebted to Shin Hye's family)

He must be thinking of repaying them or something.

He has learn something else about Tae Jin.

And if he's right about what he just learnt, he doesn't like being indebted to someone. But,.....can he pay them back? And how was he going to do that?

Has he........ already starting paying them back?

In what way?

Ahh!! Hae Jin screamed in mind, frustrated.

This was just so.........complicating?

He was going crazy!

"The hospital belongs to Shin Hye's grandfather who has already passed away. Her father's father that is"

Okay. Hae Jin said in mind.

"Enough about them and myself. Let's talk about you" He wanted to know what his hyung was feeling.

In fact, he wanted to know him more, more than anyone else.

"Me?" Hae Jin asked with a questioning look. What more was he supposed to know? He already told Tae Jin all that he knew about himself.

"Yeah, don't you miss your family?" Oh, this was what he wanted to know.

On this topic.......

"Well, I don't know what to say about that. I have no memories of them......" Tae Jin could see, his hyung was struggling to tell him what he felt. But it doesn't matter because he had all the time in the world.

Right now, on this very day.

"But, I do want to know about them, so far, I only have memories of two people "

"Yeah, you told me about them"

*Sigh, his hyung's case was complicated. They didn't know when he died or why he died. He had no memories either.

It was going to be hard trying to find his identify.

And this raise another question, where do they start?
