This is how I ended up growly and perturbed as my eyes scanned around while Lou jumped the dock and tied the boat off. Bri had her hair tucked under the hood of Beau’s oversized hoodie. Attempting to look small. She ducked her head tossing her bag over her shoulder, she even shoved her feet in a pair of Claude’s shoes which were two sizes too big. And looked little more than a teenager, boy or girl an outsider couldn't discern if it was Bri or Claude in those clothes. I searched for over-assessing gazes as Bri hopped expertly to the dock from the boat, she leaned casually against a pylon. We had argued about us both going. She was worried about the boys and so was I but it was safer to do this now before her mother realized she lost her bloodhound in the Bayou. Any meetings would have a very short window of safety before I insisted on a sort of shutdown where we monitored every person and thing just outside our territory and rebuilt the old defenses.

Well, well, well...it seems Miss Mabel is now an early warning system. I guess that's what you get for being intrusive and overly inquisitive. It's funny how Bri pulls off acting like a teenager to avoid attention. Wonder how it'll go at the oil field. Can't wait to see Beau again!!!
