Chapter 19 Buying Back the Pendant

Tamara sat on the floor in her room upstairs. Several tools were piled up beside her while a pair of safety goggles shielded her eyes. With tweezers, she gingerly placed the last scented tea leaf into a jar before letting out a long, relieved sigh. She exclaimed in her heart, “It’s finally done!”

Suddenly, the door swung open, causing Tamara’s head to whip around. Her gaze immediately landed on Sebastian, who stood at the door.

His presence caused her expression to darken as she stood and signed at him, “Why didn’t you knock?”

Sebastian flashed a prickly look while thundering, “Type whatever you’re saying!”

Tamara recalled that Sebastian did not understand sign language, so she frowned while taking out her phone to reiterate her question. She typed: “Why didn’t you knock?”

“This is my home,” Sebastian replied with a dangerously low tone.

Tamara’s reply was: “But this is my room!”
