The video only spanned 22 seconds. Sebastian rewatched it countless times.

He could not shift his gaze away from the bright eyes on his screen. The longer he stared at them, the more familiar they seemed.

Eventually, he stopped watching the video and dialed Skarrowlilt Grove’s landline.

“Hello, Young Mr. Lynch.”

Ms. Thompson had been the one to pick up the phone.

“Where’s Tamara?” Sebastian asked in a low voice.

Ms. Thompson was taken aback by the question. “Young Mrs. Lynch went out. She hasn’t come home yet.”

Sebastian’s expression darkened significantly at that. “Do you have her number? Can you call– I mean, text her? Tell her to hurry home and remind her of her place in the family!”

Ms. Thompson teased, “Young Mr. Lynch, I’m just the family’s housekeeper. It wouldn’t be right for me to hurry Young Mrs. Lynch home like that. If you’re worried about her, you should be the one calling her instead. I’ll send you her number right away.”

“Ms. Thompson, you’re–”
