Chapter 49 "Meeting CFO"

"Crystal was getting ready for the office today. She felt as if it had been a year since she stepped into the office. She hadn't forgotten about the new CFO and the party. She just prayed not to face the woman and to stay away from both of their relationships. She was confused as to why Landon suddenly started to worry about her, but she knew better than to get her hopes up.

After changing into office clothes, she walked downstairs only to find Landon shouting at someone on the phone. She silently went to the dining table and sat down, noticing Landon's half-eaten food on his plate. The maid served her breakfast.

She wanted to ask him about his health but saw him shouting like that, so she got the message that he was fine, like his usual self. She quietly continued to eat, hearing his voice.

Suddenly, the voice stopped, and the chair beside her was pulled. Crystal looked at him as he sat beside her. "Good morning," he greeted her and smiled a little.
