Megan collapsed into Jake's arms causing her blood and tears to stain his white tee as he dragged her into the apartment as she sobbed, "What the hell happened to you, Meg, who the hell did this?" Jake asked as he immediately moved her to the couch as she continued to sob, "I- I was finishing up some last-minute loose ends at the company," she replied as Jake frowned, "This late, it's midnight, Meg," he said as Meg sniffled, "I had to, they were really important work that needed to be finished," she rambled as Jake cupped her face, "It's alright, Meg, just tell me what happened," he softly said as Megan nodded, "As I left the company, I was coming down the street past an alley, where a group of guys was gathered around," she explained as tears welled back up into her eyes, "I was just minding my own business when they started to harass me," she said as her voice cracked as her finger shook, causing Jake to intertwine his into hers. 

"I tried to walk past them, but then t
