Adrienne strolled leisurely around her garden. The air in her room had become unbearable after hours of confinement.

"I can't believe he hasn't called since Saturday, and he promised to stay in touch often," Adrienne murmured to herself, frustration evident in her voice.

After her hour-long walk, Adrienne meandered back to the main house, feeling refreshed by the outdoor breeze. As she stepped into her home, she caught sight of Daniel in the hallway.
