"Hey babydoll, it's been a while," he said to Adrienne. Adrienne locked eyes with Lucy, silently pleading for help, and the understanding look in Lucy's eyes told her to stay calm and act normally. Taking a deep breath to steady herself, Adrienne turned to face him.

"Yeah, it has been a while. What's up?" Adrienne asked, trying to sound casual.

"I'm good. I just arrived in Nigeria yesterday and I told Daniel I was in town. I guess that's why he invited me today, but I can't stay for long though. How have you been?" Richard asked Adrienne.

"I've been good, really great, thanks," she replied.

"What's up with the rumors?" He asked. Suddenly, the atmosphere grew quiet, and all eyes were on them.

"You know how it is. Everyone has haters. I guess it was just the work of one of mine. But it's no big deal," Adrienne explained, trying to brush off the rumors casually.

Richard nodded, understanding her perspective. "Oh, cool..."

"Yeah. Come, have a seat. Let me get you some food," Adrienn
