The birthday party

The day for her birthday had arrived, and everyone was busy around the mansion. Seraphine was getting dolled up as well, which she considered to be a burden.

Seraphine believed that she looked cute without these unnecessary preparations.

She couldn't count the amount of times she had to change hairstyles or dresses. Even if she was irritated, Betty said that she had to look best for her fifth birthday.

Seraphine just gave up and let them continue doing whatever they wanted.

Once they were done with her perfectly, Seraphine looked at herself in the mirror and had to say that she was impressed.

Usually, she looked adorable but that magnified today. Bringing her hands closer to her cheeks, she squeezed. 

Despite of her trying to go on a diet, her cheeks had become much more chubby— at least it did not look bad on her.
