10: Fake Honeymoon

I didn’t think I would ever get used to my new life. Bring Maggie’s caregiver, she made sure I was never in the spotlight. No one knew who I was and now, the entire world was eager to know me.

I was having a taste of their life and I didn’t like it one bit. We finally arrived at the villa and I felt my jaw drop to the floor. It was a beautiful, white villa. The place was surrounded by lush gardens, with flowers of all colors. There were a few marble fountains and statues surrounding the garden.

It was gorgeous.

I followed Lorenzo inside and he immediately disappeared in one of the rooms, leaving me alone in the big hallway.

The place was beautiful, but it wasn't welcoming.

It didn't feel like a home.

Everything was so cold. The house was so big. I felt a bit lonely. I didn't know why I was feeling this way. Maybe because I was away from my mom and Benny. I haven't talked to him since the wedding and I didn't have the guts to talk to him.
