My eyes slowly opened to a very blinding white ceiling and a nauseating hospital smell. I tried to adjust to the brightness and then tried to remember what had happened.

Where am I?

What happened?

How did I get here?

What was I doing before I got here?

Then it hit me, I had a baby. Lorenzo was arrested. Anthonio is dead.

I forced my eyes open again and this time, they didn't hurt. I turned and saw Lorenzo asleep in a chair, and the twins were on the bed, sleeping.

I tried to call out his name, but I couldn't, I felt weak, my throat was dry, and I could barely move.
