47: Heartless Mother-in-law

Lorenzo had left for work early in the morning, and I woke up a few hours after.

I didn't want to get out of the bed, but I had no choice. I also wasn't looking forward to seeing Lorenzo's mother again, but I still didn't have a choice.

I'll be stuck with her for a while.

I really couldn't ask him to send his mother out of his own house even if she absolutely hated my guts. What kind of a person would I be then?

She's his mother, and she was probably lonely. It was time to be nice and act like nothing happened last night. Hopefully, she hadn't heard me screaming her son's name last night.

I would be completely horrified.

I walked into the bathroom and took my toothbrush. As I started brushing my teeth, I noticed my reflection in the mirror.

My hair was messy, and my eyes were swollen. "Damn." I had never been an attractive sleeper.

Once I was done, I headed back to the closet to look for an outfit. I wasn't sure what to wear.
