CHAPTER FORTY-NINE: YOU ARE GOING TO BE A FATHER

"You're going to be a father, Jayden."

His phone slipped from his hand and fell on the floor, and for a minute he bore no feeling, emotion, or consciousness. He just knew that he existed.

He came back to his senses, picked the phone back up and heard Alisa's voice again.

"You say I am going to be a father?"

"You heard me."

"Where are you?"

"I'm at a pharmacy, trying to get some abortion pills."
