You're fired

Chapter 3

Kara was surprised to see her. She never thought they will see each other by any chance very soon but here they are. Watching Kate trying to make funa of her. 

Kara was really enraged and also felt bad because she was glaring at her like she was disgusting shit or something. Like an abnormal person. "You're Kara right?" Kate questions her, just wanting to be sure she was with the right person. "Please if you aren't here to patronised us, I will suggest you to leave immediately". Kara didn't want to add another problem to the one she had already gotten, so she thinks it's better she warns her about it before trying to blabber nonsense words into her ears .

"Listen! I'm sure by now You know where you belong. I'm sure you know your place and the line you shouldn't cross. " I'm warning you for the last time to stay away from my boyfriend. I don't ever want to see you with him or finds out that he went to see you. Just so you know, we will be getting married very soon. Understand that and stop perturbing him. I don't ever want to see you with him, ever again. Get that into your head okay?!

She pouted out like a person who was about to explode as Kara scoffed. "So; that was the reason why you are here? And not to patronize us. I'm highly disappointed that you came all the way from your house to warn me about someone that will end up not marrying you". Kara let out the unpleasant words to her even though it can make her depressed later..

"I think I've heard your explanation so you can go home now. With all due respect, I'm asking you to leave right now! Leave immediately". Kara screeched at her as she stood up, with so much anger in her eyes as she brought out her hand to slap her when suddenly, a man in his forties walked in and she quickly detected him to be their boss so she position herself in a way he wouldn't scold her and Kate drop her hand down immediately on knowing that she was about to cause a commotion. 

Kate was so furious at Kara. She just want to teach her a lesson before walking out of here. She will surely regret why she bellowed at her. 

"I'm sure we all understand each other. And I also hope you can stay away from him, so before I go... Give me a cup of coffee. I will like to take that to calmed myself First". 

Kate requested for a coffee as Kara eyed her before walking away and could see her boss' eyes on her as well. He was watching the two of them. 

She came back to her with the cup of coffee and placed it on her table as she watched her sipping from it. For a while, she was confused on what Kate was doing since she couldn't understand her act. 

She spit the coffee Inside her mouth on the floor and rapidly took her handkerchief to clean her mouth as Kara pondered where all those acts were coming from.

Before Kara could even blink her eyes she received an unexpected slap on her cheeks.

It was indeed very hard for herself to believe that Kate just slapped her. She pitched herself making sure she wasn't hallucinating as she came to conclude it was actually reality.

That chubby, short girl with a freckle face and arched bushy eyebrow actually slapped her. 

She let out a smile and nodded her head as she was about to walk away when Kara dragged her hair and slapped her twice on her cheeks. She was also startled by the slap she had unexpectedly received back from Kara as she wasn't expecting it.

"You can't come here and slap me and I will let you go free Kate . Never! it can't happen. Kara Utter as she walks away from her

Kate was Indignanted, she can't let Kara go free for laying her dirty hands on her face. She had to make sure her boss, whom she is seeing right now, fired her immediately.

She walks towards Kara boss and pulls his attention.

"Why are you pretending like you didn't see what happened, she just slapped me. So are you trying to say you weren't aware that she gave me a hot coffee which made me lose my mind to slap her. Kate shrugged at him as he sighed.

"Did you just say she slapped you back? Kara boss ask her as she nodded her head. " That's impossible! how could she do that? She could have apologized to you instead when she Heard of your complaint to her on the reason why you've slapped her. I don't know what this girl is feeling like lately". Kara heard him Uttering as she became scared that she brainwashed him into believing that she was the fault one here. 

"Kara! He called her attention as he walked towards her. " Did you actually slap her back? He asked wanting to confirm if what Kate just said was true or she was just blabbering her mouth to him. 

"Yes sir and that's because……!!

" Oh, no no no! I don't need your explanation. He construe Kara up who was about to explain herself. 

"So you're saying you slap my customers? Even though she was wrong you could have apologized instead because customers are always right". 

Kara couldn't believe the words coming from her boss' mouth as she stood up from the chair and walked towards Kate who was smiling at her.

"I'm sorry! She apologized as Kate scoffed. " Sorry wouldn't do a thing, so I would be happy and remain your customer, if you could fire her. She's not worthy of working with you because her bad character will chase away your good customer. Kate shrugged at her boss as he sighed.

"Okay. You're totally right. I need to fire her because I can't have a customer who doesn't treat my customers the way they should be treated". Knowing that Kate was right with what she said about Kara,he turns to look at her. 

" I'm sorry Kara; but you're fired. Thankfully, I've paid you your money for the last month, so, could you leave my shop now? Kara couldn't believe her eyes. 

What the hell is wrong with her boss? Did she actually hypnotize Him? How could he just believe her?

"Oh no, this can't be true. Don't tell me this is real". Kara hit her foot on the ground as she glared at her friend who was having this sympathy for her and she exited the shop after waving her goodbye

Kara exits the coffee shop as tears rolled down her cheeks. she doesn't even know where she will see such money and getting fired from work right now, pisses her more.

How could Kate do that to her? What has she ever done to deserve this? she shouldn't worry at all, because the next time she sees her, she will fight her back.

She could tell this insult was just coming from her...being wealthy and other, because if she was someone like her, she wouldn't let her go free but put her in jail.

Kara came down from the taxi as she scuttled into the house and hopped in the bed. such a borry day ahead. Well, she still has only one job left since it's a cursed placed on her that every job she goes to, she'll always get fired.

Kara was roaming around the bed when she heard a familiar chatting voice outside which sounded like that of her friends. Kara pondered about who they could be and decided to stand up and check it out.

her jaw dropped down when she found her two high school friends in front of her doormat looking at classic . since it's been a months they've departed from each other,they look quite different, like... young, fresh, wealthy, and beautiful.

The three of them couldn't help as they blush on seeing each other first before squealing themselves into a big huge. After a while, they disengage from each other to take a good view of each other.

"kara; is this you?" look at you, you're just getting bigger and beautiful every minute". Nova, her friends with brown hair praises her as she chuckles.

" Come on, heaven knows that isn't true, but look at you two, I can't even compare myself to you guys because you guys look more beautiful and outstanding". 

"What's your guys' secret? Kara asks as they let out a laugh. "Nothing much kara. It's just a normal business which pays four times more than me being a lawyer and sitting all day in the court trying to prove one's guiltiness or innocence thereby having $2000 as my monthly salary, it's just too little to take care of my expenses.

Eliana rasped in as her eyes gleamed open. she must be joking when she utters.. She has a business which pays her more, like more than ($2000) a month. wow!

"Where's your grandmother; let us go and see her. nova utter as the two of them glare at her and they could tell something was wrong by her countenance.

"what is it kara!; don't you want us to see her? Eliana asks, noticing her stern expression as she pondered if it was a crime for them to see her.

"It's nothing, it's just that she isn't here". Kara utter as nova took a deep breath. i thought maybe something must have happened to her so that could be the reason why you weren't answering us". 

nova redolent thinking that something must have gone wrong. " It's kinda similar to that, like it's convoluted. Kara shrugged at them as they nodded their heads. 

"Come on kara, I am incongruous to that,stop being supercilious and tell us the truth already. Eliana stroked her hair. "Okay. Since you guys wish to know the truth, Well, she's at the hospital". 

Kara rasped in as they stood in shock. "oh my gosh,is it that exacerbated? What's wrong with her? the two of them chorused at the same time.

"well! She's sick and I think it's exacerbated because they will be operating on her. she's struggling with (cerebrovascular disease) " that's heart stroke right? Nova as she nodded her head.

"Oh kara, we're so sorry for that. "What's the problem right now? since surgery is needed, then let her be operated immediately". Nova uttered as she sighed deeply. Wishing they could understand her. "but money is the problem right now.

"I just got fired from my other work" Kara utter as Eliana burst into laughter.

" Sorry, I don't mean to mock you or make you feel bad but I couldn't hold it. "Wait babe; was it that work you sold coffee that you got fired from? Eliana asked as she nodded her head.

"Oh come on, you could have told us that you were looking for a job. how could you be working there and they will only pay you ($800) every month. that salary is too small for such work. Nova utters as Kara listens to her speech keenly, trying to grasp where the conversation was heading to.
