Chapter 139

It was very quiet in the car except that there was the sound of Eric angrily typing on his keyboard.

Eric was extremely silent which made the atmosphere in the car weird and made Amanda more worried. And that made her curious and want to know more about Eric's ex-wife.

Both of them soon arrived at Amanda's apartment and Amanda quietly stood up from the car to get down from the car but before she could, she saw Eric staring at her solemnly.

"Goodnight. I'm leaving." She muttered calmly.

"Okay." Eric nodded. "Good night." He said and continued to stare at her.

Amanda was taken aback but she waved at him. "You can leave," Amanda told Eric.

Eric shook his head because he wanted to see her enter the house, first. "I want you to enter the apartment in my presence." He said which made Amanda chuckle.

Even though Eric was angry he still cared about her safety and tried to prevent Amanda from staying outside.
