Chapter 14: How the hell do you know what happened?

Knight could smell his cousin Leslie the moment he stepped off the elevator. She was waiting for him in his office. He sighed to himself and discreetly sniffed himself. He had showered, but it had been a quick shower at Sue’s.

He had left his underwear behind and was going commando in the suit and shirt he’d worn yesterday. He had hoped he could make it to his office unnoticed by her so that he could change his shirt and put a tie on at least, but no such luck. He just hoped that Leslie wouldn’t smell Sue on him.
