Chapter 097 Another Brush

My car pulled up into a spot in an underground parking lot. After putting on my ball cap and a mask, I looked around the vicinity before hopping out of the car.

The parking lot was as quiet as a graveyard. The corridor of the seventh floor after I took the elevator up wasn't any different. Still, I surveyed both ends and looked out through the separate windows in the corridor.

The street outside was extremely busy. Everyone was going about their various businesses. Although I spent ten minutes staring at the entrance gate of the apartment building, no car pulled up.

Breathing a sigh of relief, I finally made my way to the apartment I anonymously rented recently. It was a flat with a room, kitchen, and a bath.

Although it wasn't that much bigger than my motel room, it was just what I needed for the time being. I dumped my bag by the door before locking myself in.

The air felt stuffy, so I opened one of the windows. I was about to open another when my phone suddenly rang.
