"That should stop the bleeding for two days or more."

"Or more?" I asked Dr. Longman who had just finished bounding up my wound again. "You mean or less, don't you?"

The leprechaun walked over to a washstand. As he washed his hands thoroughly, he replied, "Let's not think of the worst."

I snorted, "You talk as if optimism is what would stop this damn wound from bleeding. You know very well that there's only one thing I need now."

Dr. Longman glanced at me and then placed his hands under the drier. "I know, boss. However, until we get our hands on the Phoenix Orb, we have to continue managing the wound while holding out hope that it won't get worse than this."

Leaning back in the chair I was sitting on, I glanced at the bandage on my chest. Ever since the sewing of the mangled flesh wound, it has bled about seven times. That was a development if I was being honest. But it just wasn't good enough.

I wanted to get rid of this wound for good!
