Chapter 7 - Star-crossed Lovers
1913, Buckingham Palace, England
I took another glance at Gavin who was also staring at me right now. I was happy and very giddy at this moment. Although, the feeling did not last any longer when Gavin had to turn me to another man since the dance was still going on.
The dance ended with me and Prince Benedict both still in arms. We took a bow as an appreciation to each other as he led me back to Princess Scarlette‘s table.
As quickly as I took my seat, my eyes roamed around
the ballroom to catch a glimpse of Gavin but just like the wind he quickly disappeared from my sight.
