The breaking point

Jason stormed to Skylar’s front door, his rage bubbling over. He began banging on the door, demanding that she open up. He pounded on the door with both fists, shouting, “Skylar! Open up! We need to talk!”

The noise echoed through the quiet house, startling everyone inside. Skylar and Pietro, who had been peacefully drifting off to sleep, woke up disoriented.

Pietro glanced at the clock. “Who the hell could that be at this hour?”

Skylar’s heart raced. “I have a bad feeling about this. I think it’s Jason. Oh my God, what is he doing here?”

Before they could gather their thoughts, Emilio, burst into the room. “Are you guys okay? Someone’s pounding on the door like a maniac.”

Skylar and Pietro exchanged worried glances. Thankfully, they were both dressed decently, having cleaned up and redressed after their intimate bonding just hours ago.

Together, the three headed down the stairs, only to be met by the frightened faces of Sophia, Valentina, Jared and Lorenzo.

Jason's only chance is to get the help he needs but a future with Skylar is not going to happen. He may be able to have a relationship with his sons only if he gets better.
