Farren's Point of View

Shock sang through my bones. Rang true to my heart. It all came crashing down on my head. Every inch of my life had been a lie. My father had never run away. But my brothers had stripped him of the right of knowing me. Stripped me of knowing him.

In cold blood, they had taken his life. Buried him somewhere. No. They hadn't done that. Instead, they had gotten my mate involved. Asked Camilo to bury him. One thing I couldn't understand though was how did Camilo pull it off.

Benicio had said that my father had left before I was born. Did that mean they had killed him before I was born? If yes, then Camilo was only seven at the time...

Disgust curled up my nose as I felt my way through the thick brush of the forest. I wanted to be alone. Settled into a direction and ran blindly. Only my body knew where I was going. Headed straight for the only place I knew I would be safe.
