Laura felt her hands itch because of how she couldn’t hug James. She hadn’t seen him over the past three days and they felt like three months. He had travelled out of town and probably just returned.

“Have you had time to rest? You look tired,” Laura said as she touched the dark circles under his eyes.

“I’m happy that you came,” Laura said with a bright smile and pulled on his sleeve using her other free hand. At this point, the people who had been around her were acting like they were deaf and blind.

“If you are tired you can go rest in the trailer, I’m sure you haven’t had time to sleep,” Laura said as she squeezed both of his hands.
