Chapter 15

-MILA-

I jumped to my feet, almost falling over as I put distance between us.

"Lobo... I can't." Even as I spoke the words it was difficult for me to stop myself.

It was a rather strange feeling, logically I knew this was wrong, but it felt right in my soul.

Lobo got to his feet, "You're right. I'm sorry, I don't know what came over me." He looked a little awkward and embarrassed.

"I should go." But I couldn't find the will to make my feet move. The invisible pull was back, keeping me in my spot.

"Lobo, what is going on? What is this feeling?"

He looked surprised, "You feel it?"

I nodded, "Yeah, well, I feel something. What is it?"

He looked down, but I got a split second to see what looked like fear flitter across his face, "Nothing. It's nothing. Go home." He pushed passed me as he walked away.

I stared at the alter feeling strange and upset. My heart was hurting.

I sighed and walked over to it, I wasn't sure what the process was, so I crouched down in front of it.
