“Silly…by the way, are you still going to work later tonight?” Luna Serenity laughed but turned to Vladimir and asked about his work late since they need to prepare for the fallen rogues’ estimated arrival.
“Why?” he asked the couple as he sipped from his blood wine.
“We’re going to set curfew just for the safety of the pack.” Alpha Jace answered which was understandable.
“I see…do you want me to help you around since it’s my only way to return the favor you’re giving me?” Vladimir nodded in understanding and even offered his help in dealing with whatever that was coming into their pack.
“Hm, I will take that offer since there was something I would like to know since I’ve got reports from my brother about the time when they were being attacked by fallen rogues.” Alph
Five hundred meters away was not enough for them to come up with any strategies to make their defense in high security. But as soon as they got inside the office, Alpha Jace went straight to the point as he looked firmly at Vladimir. “I am not sure if they were connected to the things that were happening in some packs around here but, I’ve received some notification reports from other packs that had some issues with fallen rogues' sudden attacks. At first, it was not disturbing as some said they were just passing and did not do anything with their pack’s perimeter. But to others, it was totally concerning one.” Alpha Jace said as he released a heavy sigh before he threw the reports over his desk which Vladimir and Ashlyn were confused about. “Concerning?” Vladimir took some of the papers and read them.
Ashlyn and Vladimir went out of the house but before Ashlyn could even run into the woods, her wrist was pulled by her mate. Ashlyn’s heart rate increased and was about to hit Vladimir but before it could even happen, he already carried Ashlyn into her arms like a bride before jumping high into that room of their house. Ashlyn wanted to argue about that but Vladimir was too serious to argue over something that was not relevant to the issue that was coming. At first, Ashlyn wanted to slap or hit Vladimir’s face again since he was not putting her down as soon as they landed on the roof of their house. Not until she heard a very firm and serious cold voice come out form her mate that made her shiver. “Navigate.” Vladimir whispered as he was still holding Ashlyn protectively into his arms. Ashlyn’s arms around Vladimir’s neck suddenly w
Every dodge there’s always a counter and at every counter there’s only blood. Whenever they exchanged attacks and dodges, they both managed to kill all the fallen rogues who were causing a ruckus in their pack. But the more they fought alongside together, Ashlyn was feeling the rush and excitement as if she was thrown back in time to where she was with her last mate. She love the feeling and she missed them greatly not until something suddenly went odd when she could not see Vladimir beside her any longer.“Vladi, where are you?” Ashlyn suddenly got worried before she easily snapped the neck of one fallen wolf that she was holding while the rest of the pack kept on fighting.Ashlyn went to look for her mate as she kept fighting for the safety of the pack but she could not find her mate around the village. She clicked her tongue in frustration and her temper was rising up again.“Ruen, did you see, Vladi?” Ashlyn linked to her best friend and beta while she breaks the bones of the fall
Even though Ashlyn still wanted to have some alone time with her mate, she decided not to risk it because Vladimir was totally tired already. She helped Vladimir to get onto his feet and slowly headed back to the pack house. Vladimir what to tease his beloved Ashlyn but he decided not to or else his face will be covered with bruises and blood. They just keep it quiet and do not talk much in the same place where they could already feel a very mad wolf that they just kicked out of their pack’s perimeter. Ashlyn knew well about the only wolf who’ll plot something against them sooner or later. “Well, we just kicked his ass…of course, he’ll look for revenge.” Ashlyn muttered that only Vladimir could hear since they were too close to each other. “Don’t worry…whatever he’s planning…I’ll be around ‘till the pack is safe.” Vladimir reassured his beloved
“Why do you keep calling him when she’s a she…and yes, got a problem with me being mated with a vampire - a nomad vampire that was also a fallen rogue?” Ashlyn blushed but she just rolled her eyes and went frank on her mother. “Okay, let’s have it your way and I have no objection over it because he’s making you move.” her mother just chuckled at how defensive her daughter sounded there. “What do you mean, Mom?” Ashlyn wondered what she meant by making her move. “Have you noticed your temper lately?” her mother asked which made Ashlyn confused. “It was still the same to me…” yet, she still answered her mother based on what she knew. “No, you were full of anger before but ever since he came here, in your life, that anger l
Ashlyn sighed as her irritation suddenly slipped away and subconsciously, she began stroking the hair of her mate. “Vladi…” Ashlyn called as she lay down her head beside Vladimir’s arm. ‘Hm?’ “Can I sleep here? It’s calming me down.” she honestly said what she intend to ask her mate. Ashlyn really felt calm around Vladimir’s presence which really irritates her because nobody could make her feel that way until he came into her life that fateful rainy night. ‘You can since I can’t do anything to push away. My body was hibernating.’ “Can other vampires do this whenever they hibernate?” she chuckled at what Vladimir said but she still managed to ask what she took notice about what was h
The tick on the watch began to echo the silence of Vladimir’s room, when a small blow of the wind touched Ashlyn’s skin, she jolted and immediately woke up. She just felt somebody just kiss her cheek which made her look around before looking at her unconscious mate. She sighed defeatedly. “I thought you were awake already…” Ashlyn sighed but she slightly smile. She reached out her hand and caressed gently the face of her mate when something suddenly sting her head. ‘Where are you, Ashlyn?’ ‘Ashy, where did you sleep? You know that I can’t lie to your parents when you didn’t tell me where did you go.’ “What time is it?” Ashlyn groaned upon hearing Ruen and Ina’s voices through the private pack link.
Ashlyn was totally speechless at what she just heard from the conclusion that her father just came up with. But she could not easily process what just happened or there was something else in her mind that needed to be cleared out and Vladimir was the key to that answer. “That’s impossible, I never meet the blood prince before... and Dad, how come Vladimir knew about that?” Ashlyn muttered to herself until she asked her father how her mate knew about when it will tick. “That’s why I am trying to figure out their connection but it seems to me that I have to talk to him about it soon.” Alpha Jace sighed as he leaned his back over his chair and think carefully. “Yeah, we have to clear that out…” Ashlyn muttered to herself as she agreed with her father. She also wanted to know about it because she felt
