Luke’s POV

As the first light of dawn peeked through the curtains of Rachel's apartment, I stirred awake, my mind already racing with our plans the night before. Today was the day we would begin our mission, the day we would take the first steps towards confronting the rogue groups that threatened our world.

I rose from the couch where I had slept, my muscles stiff from the long planning night.
