Chapter 42 A Dangerous Threat

“I can’t…” Somehow Emma managed to hold Henry’s hand which was soon going to get under her small dress and Henry’s movements stopped in an instant.

His dark gaze fixed on her face, and out of a sudden, everything seemed to stop between them.

There was a cold wind in the air but still, it was unable to overcome the heat of wrath coming from Henry’s profile.

“I’m on my period… I can’t have sex with you…”

Emma spoke gently, explaining to him the reason.

He scrutinized her emotions with his dark gaze, and Emma gulped nervously, “You can check if you want.”

But the man didn’t move his gaze away, nor did his steel expressions change, nor did his body move away from her.

Finally, Emma made a small face and requested him softly.

“Fine…” Henry finally broke his silence and then got up from her. “But you’re staying for the night.”

He announced as he fixed his clothes and Emma secretly signed in relief.
