My mouth opens and closes, but no words come out. I can't speak. I gulp down a breath, trying to calm my nerves and clear my head.

Is Aiden messing around with me, or is he being serious?

Why would he want to take me out? What is his end game? What is going on in his head? Is everything okay with him?

These questions spin through my mind, but I can't ask them all at once. I stand there, pressed against him, trying to organize my thoughts.

Aiden presses his lips against mine, silencing the thoughts in my head for a moment.
