Lysander's Point of View

We were all pleasantly surprised by Nerezza's cooking. Yes, we had known she had cooked in her previous lives but this was much more pleasant than all of us had suspected. With a deep and rich tomato flavor and the pasta done to perfection, all of us had gone back for seconds. Which seemed to please my mate.

The little ordeal from earlier also seemed to pass over our heads. For this moment, at least. Although we had had to move the couch back into place. Sat on the places where the bullets hadn't destroyed the cushions. Nerezza refused to face the television as well. There was a giant hole in it. Which upset her to a great extent, apparently.

But we were all alive. Well enough to laugh when one of us would tell us a story. Nerezza made a point of it not to sit too close to anyone in particular. Her eyes danced between all of us as well. She had no idea how to handle the situation. But food and laughter were a good enough start.
