Chapter # 23

There were a sharp pain zapping through her skull which almost made her gasp out loud. She slowly opened her eyes and blinked several times to clear her blurry vision. The pain in her head was slowly fading as well as she got a better view of where she was.

She was laying on hard, cold ground. The chill from somewhere was seeping through her clothes and sending a shiver down her spine. Her limbs were tightly bounded, enough for her to doubt the flow of blood in her veins. She shuddered and slowly turned her head around to see her surroundings. It wasn't dark but it wasn't bright either. It was just enough for her to be able to make out the shapes of everything around. She was in a room, probably a bedroom because she could see the build in closet and windows which had been closed. The glass was covered with black paint. She tried to rise her head but her head was too heavy so she stayed
