I sat in the cell for hours while I waited. Whoever this alpha was, he had been watching my interaction with the other wolf. If I hadn't felt his eyes burrowing into my head before, the guy freezing in the middle of unlocking my cell was a sure giveaway. After a while, I started to grow bored, so I stood up and paced back and forth. Finally, I smelled someone else approaching my cell. I stopped so that I was just out of arm's length, so if someone were to reach through the bars, they wouldn't be able to reach me.
