Chapter 42

Jeffery knew his daughter would be hanging out with Henry, so he intentionally withdrew the covert bodyguards. He did not want Henry to feel that he was being followed.

"Don't be afraid, I'm here." Henry comforted her softly.

Chansey felt relieved simply hearing that from Henry, for unknown reasons. She nodded and said, "What should we do now?"

"What else can we do?

"We have to get revenge for sure! An eye for an eye!"

Chansey paused momentarily before saying urgently, "But there are many of them, and they are armed with knives. Let's call my father and ask him to save us."

"No need," Henry said calmly.

At that point, the leading masked man approached the car door and prepared to smash the window with a stick.

However, Henry pushed the door open unexpectedly, and the force struck the leader.

The man groaned and took a few steps backward.
