Chapter Twenty One

Abigail nods her head putting his words into consideration, “Yeah that’s true. I will think of something and get back to you.”

"Alright.” Marcel said simply absent mindedly

There it was again the absent cold one word answers. She wondered what was going on with him, she would have love to ask him but decided to keep shut and mind her business.

His demeanor wasn't affecting his interaction with her kids so she was fine with it, actually… she preferred it. If it persisted she'd have to confront him but for now she had work to do.

"Alright then.” She said and walked the other direction to her bedroom.

She proceeded to get some work done after a bath and later on to call Zedra Ashton.

"Shit" Abigail exclaimed as she checked the time. She quickly put on her silk emerald robe and her fuzzy bunny slippers and rushed to her kids room.

She opened the door to find none of them in the room.

"Denise!" She yelled.

"Elise!" They weren't on their balcony either.
