Laura opened her mouth in shock when Greg told her the reason for his odd attitude that morning and showed her the newspaper on the coffee table.

She tried to speak but no words could come out of her mouth.

Greg stood up and paced the room.

"Do you actually know the reason for my anger now?" He grounded. "It's not the fact that a picture of you and I in an intimate position is in the papers, it's the fact that you connived with your minions to have it put there! You of all people! I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't called that stupid publishing company."

Laura flinched.

"What? Aren't you going to deny it?" He snapped angrily. "You wanted fame and you got it! You wanted the paparazzi at your heels and you're gonna get your wish!"

"Greg I..."

"Shut up!" he growled in anger. "Not another word from you."

He took a deep breath, turning away from her and said calmly. "And I had thought you were different. I thought you..." He slumped his shoulders.

Laura took a step close to him.
