Just as I had been expecting, I was nothing short of being exhausted when I woke up the next morning. Every fibre of my being screamt at me for staying awake as late as I had last night, and my encounter with Jace hadn't helped one bit. On the contrary, I believed that it had kept me awake for much longer than I would have been. Maybe I was wrong, but I did not think that I was. But there was no use in crying over spilt milk. As I watched Samantha spar with our head enforcer, Matthew, I could not help but to acknowledge the fact that she was destined for combat. I did not know what it was that made her combat technique so special, but I could tell that she had a knack for it. She seemed to possess the ability to get Matthew to perform a specific set of moves and techniques, and just when it seemed like Matthew was gaining the upper hand, the tables turned and she was able to put him in his place.
