After the lovely lecture on what to do and what not to do during this part of the shifting process, Elijah decided that it was time for him to go and shower as well. In his own words, he said that it would be best if he were to do something productive with his time instead of just sitting around and bothering me, when I already had a heap of my own things to worry about. I had to admit that I thought it to be rather considerate, especially since I was genuinely tired of his company - and I did not mean it in a rude way.

The only thing that kept me from completely winding down, was the fact that Elijah had left the door open on his way out. He had done it earlier as well, but I had been hoping that he would close it this time, especially since I was feeling much better than I had been before. But there was no point in calling him back to close it, because I had no doubt that my request would be followed by a series of questions that I wouldn’t want to answer.
