The Only Truth

Her eyes caught his as he leaned closer and planted a soft kiss on her lips.

"How do you feel now?" he pulled away and asked, his soft gaze dancing over her features.

"You had me scared," he confessed against her lips and pecked it again. His every action oozed love and care but she wasn't going to fall for it again. She could only stare at him in response.

"You had high blood pressure. The doctor has prescribed some medicine but before you have that we need to get some food in your tummy," he turned slightly to grab the tray from the nightstand while Angela pushed herself up into a sitting position. She leaned against the bedpost for support.

He turned back towards her, carrying the tray. She silently watched as he gripped the spoon and stirred the hot soup. Scooping some, he brought the spoon near to her mouth. She kept her mouth closed.

"Open your mouth," he told her. She didn't.

"I want divorce," she announced. His expression darkened and grip tightened on the spoon at the men
