Chapter 104

Ashley knew the bold step she took in calling him would bring smiles to his face but she wasn't certain if he was going to love the news. She was really scared because, from her observation during the phone call, he wasn't sounding excited. He was just neutral and talked normally. She hoped that he would call her when he gets home.

That phone call brightened her mood and she worked with smiles on her face and forgot the time for closing hour. When she checked her wristwatch, it was time. Ashley started arranging her table and her bag. She touched her face with some powder and stood up from her seat.

She couldn't tell if it was because of the call that made her change her walking steps. She was seeing herself as Alex's woman whereas he hadn't said anything to her yet nor had they discussed intimately.
