Chapter 135

"Do you think you won?" Those were the first words George said to Ashley as she opened her eyes staring at him leaning over her in the dimly lit room. She tried to understand what was going on, her head ached in pain as she sat up, and she immediately touched her belly to know if her child was okay and thankfully it was.

"What made you think you could pull that stunt on me huh?" He laughed standing up from the bed, facing the wall as he tried to calm the rising anger in him.

"You're crazy." She spoke slowly getting herself, she tried moving her legs but couldn't so she thought it was because they were still in shock.

"I hope you won't feel guilty finding out that you caused the death of those men."

"I did nothing you insolent fool, why do you keep acting inhuman? Take a break and think of the negative impact you keep having on everyone…. Those men trusted you with their lives."

"It was time to atone for their sins, sad I didn't give them a speech, they must have looked forward to it."
