61| Dallying Around Danger

BALIA.

I'd seen Luca step out of Senna's study with a smile, and immediately, I hid behind one of the doors and watched him from there. There was just something about his smile that screamed danger. Luca was my brother, so I could tell what was really on his mind from the way he looked.

Something wasn't right. I couldn't follow him because one of Senna's guards was walking behind him.

I moved out of the shadows and sighed before shaking my head and walking down the hall.

I hadn't seen Senna since yesterday, and I had tried distracting myself with other things. I didn't want to overthink it, but I was starting to slip now.

After swimming in delusion, I realized that he was indeed not going to call to ask if I was okay or the sort. I'd nearly texted him to ask how he was doing, and now that I thought of it, I felt incredibly embarrassed.

I had just turned out of the corner when I found Senna standing by the door, speaking to one of the guards.
