“Father didn’t tell you about the ball?” Emerson asked, his brows furrowed.

I glared at him, “We look like people in the know, brother.”

He pushed the strand of hair that fell on his forehead and gave us a cheeky smile. I knew then that whatever that he and father had planned was not going to be something that I will like. “The last few weeks, we got more than two proposals for you, hence father decided that it as time to find you the perfect husband. Hence the ball.”
