The next morning, Francisco sat at the breakfast table, his usual calm demeanor belying the storm of emotions raging within him. But as he glanced around the room, he noticed Hazel's absence, her usual seat empty beside him.

Concern furrowed his brow as he turned to Lily, the maid attending to their needs.

"Where is she?" he inquired, his tone measured but tinged with worry.

"Master, she said she was not hungry," Lily replied, her voice soft and deferential.

Francisco's brows knit together in frustration. "So you just listen to what she said?" he questioned, his patience beginning to wear thin.

Lily hesitated for a moment before responding, "No... she asked for some privacy too, sir."

A heavy sigh escaped Francisco's lips as he processed the information. "Won't she come down as well?" he inquired, his voice tinged with concern.

Lily lowered her gaze, her expression troubled. "I... I don't think so. She was not in a good mood," she admitted quietly.
